image_print

Every time we go to Mexico one of our favorite dishes is the Arrachera steak. So of course we wanted to try to find the recipe here in the states. While we haven’t found the exact match, this marinade was excellent! We cut the flank steak into strips and had steak street tacos. It was DELICIOUS!! Enjoy!

Serving Size: 8oz of Flank Steak

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped garlic
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Tequila
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon coarse salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 3 pounds flank steak

Directions:

  1. Whisk together first seven ingredients until well blended.
  2. Place Flank Steak in gallon zip lock bag, pour blended ingredients into bag.
  3. Place zip lock bag in fridge for at least one hour, up to 24 hours; turning often.
  4. Heat grill to 450 degrees, place steak in direct heat on grill. Grill each side for 4 – 5 minutes or until internal temperate reaches 130 to 135 degrees.
  5. Remove from grill and let rest for 10 minutes. Serve how you would like, enjoy!
