Today was a very mellow day. We started the day at our condo pool and just hung around the condo. In the afternoon we revisited the Wailea Village to shop the store Droplets. This is a kids clothing store, but their clothes are so soft and they last forever! Then we headed to the dive bar ‘Haui’s Life’s a Beach’ because I have it constantly recommended to me. In my opinion, there are other, better, dive bars on the island (maybe a good thing to blog about on the next visit). I also want it noted that AJ and my mother-in-law went last year and said it was significantly better than this year. So, I may need to give it another try another visit. After we had a round of drinks we headed back to the condo for dinner and sunset. Since it’s one of our last night’s here we let Ayla have a late bedtime and did a nighttime swim, it was so much fun! She had fun shark hunting in the deep end. Afterwards it was off to bed for her and I.
We woke up and decided to treat ourselves to some tasty cinnamon rolls from, The Cinnamon Roll Place. They have some of the best on the island. When AJ got there the line was out the door, but moved quickly, so don’t let that stop you from waiting. We also got treated with a morning rainbow, a great omen for the day. After our fill of pastries we headed back to my favorite beach, Maluaka. The water was extremely calm today, hardly any waves all day. It was a great beach day! We stayed on the beach until it was time to head home to get ready for happy hour at Monkeypod – round 2! Monkeypod is always a staple in my Hawaii visit, and typically is a multiple visit establishment. We finished dinner and drinks early enough to make it back to our condo for another gorgeous sunset. AJ worked on getting Ayla to bed while I got to read a few chapters out of my book. We have one full day left, what will our last day bring?
