We made it to Maui!! I am happy to report that there were no hiccups along the way; Ayla even took a 2 hour nap on the plane. After leaving the airport, we went to Costco for dinner and yummies, and then headed to our condo to decompress, eat dinner and go to bed. However, upon arrival, our condo was a TOTAL DISASTER! I couldn’t believe the state of it. It looked like people were still living in it, or completely destroyed it before they left. I called the property manager, no luck. Then, I called the owner; she immediately picked up, profusely apologized and had an impressive cleaning crew here within the hour. I couldn’t believe the 180 our condo took. It looked impressive, and it instantly helped us all relax. Ayla was about 4 hours past her bedtime, so once they left she immediately fell asleep, as did the rest of us until 6:30am local time the next day.
First full day of Hawaii was perfect! We had a big breakfast on the lanai and headed to the beach. We walked to the far right side of Kama’ole II and still had shade until almost 2pm when we left. The water was calm enough to go swimming, we played in the sand and Ayla even took a nap. The wind picked up with a vengeance at noon, so as soon as Ayla woke up we headed to the pool. Our condo pool is amazing; it goes from 3 feet to 8 feet deep! After a little pool time we got ready to head out to dinner and a Polynesian Show at the The Shops at Wailea. First we went to happy hour at Pint & Cork then headed to the free Polynesian Show. Ayla loved watching the dancers, but she was most in love with riding the escalators haha. After the show, we headed back to the condo and all went right to bed.
