Day 1 – Travel Day
Kennedy Travels Day 1 – Travel Day
Aloha from Maui! We landed last night around 10:30pm local
time and instantly felt the islands wave of relaxation hit us. It was a great
travel day. And as many of you know, I
do not look forward to flying, especially long flights, over open water, so I
do everything I can to plan, prepare and stay calm. But yesterday everything fell into place so
easily. We didn’t leave Spokane until 1:45pm which gave me time to work out in
the morning, take the dogs for a walk and not rush to get to the airport. It
set a good tone for the day. When we got to the airport we went right through
TSA, and onto our BIG jet plane; larger than the plane we took to Maui, so
needless to say it only took thirty minutes to get to Seattle, Score!
We had about a 4 hour layover in Seattle which left us plenty of time to have dinner and make reservations for restaurant week (more on that in later posts). We met my best friend Tina and her man Chad in Seattle and all boarded our plane with the Aloha spirit. Overall the flight went by at a descent pace, the last couple hours were on and off turbulence, but by that point your so close to the islands you’re too excited to let turbulence deter from that.
Finally unpacked and are heading for some sun and sand.
Until tomorrow,
Mahalo
