Our day four was a very nice relaxing day. We started our morning with feeding the fish at the Koi pond. Our resort offers fish feeding for the kids, and you can definitely tell; their fish are the largest koi I have ever seen. After all the fish food was gone, we walked the Kauai Multi-use Path (Ke Ala Hele Makalae) and enjoyed a two mile stroll in the mix of sun and mist.
Once back at home Ayla decided she wanted to draw and then take a nap. So I enjoyed a quiet afternoon reading while she slept and AJ went to the pool with friends.
Once Ayla was awake, I did a 45 minute workout on the lanai with my loop bands [see notes below for the workout]. Then we decided to play some yard games. We enjoyed 18 holes of putt putt (AJ kicked my butt) and a game of Bocce ball (which AJ also won) and played some catch. The grounds here offer a ton of fun, so we’re hoping to do more another day.
After yard games we headed to the grocery store to pick up fixings for dinner, then we all went to the pool. When it was time to start dinner, our friends came over and we all enjoyed a late night with great company. We always try to do a surf and turf at the condo at least once during our Hawaiian vacations. So our dinner consisted of grilled steaks, several poke options, Hawaiian macaroni salad, fruit and chips. We got the food from Safeway just down the street and wow, it was yummy!
Then it was off to bed to get ready for the next day’s adventures.
